Columbia County restaurant inspections for February 2019

n Hudson Correctional Facility, East Court Street, Hudson, was inspected Feb. 21 and cited for a non-critical violation: non-food contact surfaces and equipment are improperly designed, constructed, installed, maintained (equipment not readily accessible for cleaning, surface not smooth finish).
n Swell, 3 Albany Ave., Kinderhook, was inspected Feb. 7. No violations were found.
n Melino’s Pub, 749 Columbia St., Hudson, was inspected Feb. 6 and cited for six non-critical violations: Premises littered, unnecessary equipment and article present, living quarters not completely separated for food service operations, live animals, birds and pets not excluded; Non-food contact surfaces not clean; Food not protected during storage, preparation, display, transportation and service from potential sources of contamination; Non-food contact surfaces and equipment are improperly designed, constructed, installed, maintained; Miscellaneous, economic violation, choking poster, training; single-service items reused, improperly stored, dispensed, not used when required; hand-washing facilities inaccessible, improperly located, dirty, in disrepair, improperly fixtures, soap and single-service towels for hand-drying devices missing.
n Chatham Middle School Cafeteria, 50 Woodbridge Ave., Chatham, was inspected Feb. 5. No violations were found.
n Columbia County Jail, Industrial Tract Street, Hudson, was inspected Jan. 30 and cited for a non-critical violation: Non-food contact surfaces of unclean equipment.
