GIRLS BASKETBALL: Beauford’s double-double sparks Hudson

HUDSON — Deja Beauford scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Hudson to a 60-38 victory over Chatham in Wednesday’s Patroon Conference girls basketball game.

The Bluehawks held a slim 13-11 lead after one quarter and were up 30-23 at halftime, before catching fire in the second half and outscoring the Panthersm 30-15.

Katie Jepsen followed Beauford in scoring for Hudson with eight points. She also pulled downeight rebounds. Aaliyah Jones had four steals and six assists, Darielle Johnson contributed six points and eight rebounds.

Hailey Cascioli led Chatham with 14 points.

Cairo-Durham 76, Albany Leadership 59

ALBANY — Anna James and Arianna Myers combined for 48 points to help Cairo-Durham post a 76-59 victory over Albany Leadership in Wednesday’s Patroon Conference girls basketball game.

James finished with 27 points and Myers had 21 for the Mustangs. Crystal Ivery chipped in with nine.

Jamira Galloway’s 29 points topped Albany Leadership.

Cairo-Durham built quarterly leads of 19-8, 28-26 and 55-41.

Germantown 68, Bishop Maginn 32

GERMANTOWN — Eleven players reached the scoring column for Germantown in a 68-32 Central Hudson Valley League girls basketball victory over Bishop Maginn on Wednesday.

Kierlan Denninger’s 13 points led the Clippers’ balanced attack. Riley Gibbons added 11 and Kaycee Hayes and Jen Ljutich contributed nine apiece.

Imperess McDowell had 12 points for Maginn.

Ichabod Crane 52, Stillwater 42

VALATIE — Ichabod crane opened up a 19-point lead by halftime and went on to defeat Stillwater, 52-42, in Wednesday’s girls non-league basketball game.

Ichabod Crane was up 17-10 after one quarter and widened the gap to 36-17 by halftime. The Riders led 43-32 after three quarters.

MAdie Graham topped Ichabod Crane with 16 points. Delaney More added 14 and Haley Ames had 10.

Marley Mueller scored a game-high 25 points for Stillwater.
