GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hudson, MH perfect in the Patroon

Hudson and Maple Hill remained unbeaten in Patroon Conference girls basketball with 40-point victories on Wednesday night.

Hudson defeated Taconic Hills, 59-19, while Maple Hill rolled to a 67-27 triumph over Greenville.

Hudson 59, Taconic Hills 19

CRARYVILLE — Shayna Coppersmith led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points and the Hudson defense didn’t allow a single point in the first half in defeating Taconic Hills.

The Bluehawks jumped out to a 14-0 lead after one quarter and stretche dit to 27-0 at halftime and 44-9 through three quarters.

Deja Beauford followed Coppersmith in scoring for the Bluehawks with 11 points. Aaliyah Jones and Danielle McDonald each had seven.

Macayla Sparacino, Marleah Perry and Emily Mottoshiski all had five points for the Titans.

Hudson entertains Albany Leadership and Taconic Hills plays host to Maple Hill on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Maple Hill 67, Greenville 27

GREENVILLE — Eleven players reached the scoring column for MAple Hill in Wednesday’s victory over Greenville.

Jenna Hoffman was the Wildcats’ lone double-figure scorer with 10 points. Natasha Strock and Paige Bleau contributed nine apiece.

Natalie Krasney had a game-high 12 points for the Spartans.

The Wildcats built quarterly leads of 17-5, 35-9 and 53-19.

Maple Hill goes to Taconic Hills and Greenville hosts Catskill on Friday.
