Honoring the memory of loved ones

September 4, 2019 08:37 am

To the editor:

We wish to let your readers know of a special opportunity next month in which they can honor the memory of a loved one lost to substance use disorder. Columbia County Pathways to Recovery (CCPR) will be holding our third annual candlelight Memorial Walk for Hope in Recovery, “Let’s Walk for One More Chance” at 6 p.m. Sept 20 at the Chatham Village Tracy Memorial Building. Again this year, we will be honoring those we have lost by creating an individual memorial photo sign. If anyone would like to have their loved one remembered in our memorial photo presentation, please email a digital photo with name and age at loss to columbiapathwaystorecovery@gmail.com no later than Sept. 10.

We invite all to join in our candlelight vigil as we gather to honor our lost loved ones, reach out a hand with support and hope to those who are struggling with substance use disorders, and celebrate those who are in recovery.

Acting President, CCPR
