Job well done
To the editor:
They say that ‘redundancy is a form of flattery,’ so I guess I’m being redundant in paying a well-deserved compliment to Philmont’s DPW — Don Davis and the snow removal team. Although we aren’t completely done with winter, hopefully we won’t encounter any more massive storms. But if we do, I feel confident that Don, Deputy Foreman and his crew will keep the Philmont streets plowed, clean and safe. I really don’t think that many villages or towns our size could handle storms any quicker or better than our DPW.
On many occasions, the plow trucks make multiple passes to keep the streets open and accessible whether night or day and, if necessary, they are back again and again plowing and sanding until our streets are safe for travel.
So again, “kudos” to Dan and the DPW crew for their dedication and hard work. On behalf of the many Philmont residents who join me in extending our most heartfelt thanks and appreciation for a job well done. Keep up the good work.
