RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — The RCS Indians junior varsity football team had a first quarter to remember in their game against Glens Falls on Friday, under the lights.

The team scored a pair of touchdowns within minutes of each other early in the game.

After running the ball into the end zone for their first score of the contest, they drove in two extra points, taking an 8-7 lead over their opponents.

Glens Falls had the ball for a couple of plays before turning it over on a fumble.

RCS would go on to capitalize with a running play into the end zone, following it up with another two-point play for a 16-7 lead.

The Indians would retain their edge over the remainder of the game. At the end of the fourth quarter, the RCS home team would take a 24-22 win over Glens Falls.

The victory puts the Indians’ record on the season at 4-3-1.

The team has pulled off a trio of wins this month in the waning weeks of the 2018 football season. On Oct. 13 they defeated Hudson High School by a score of 36-6, and on Oct. 6 the Indians walked all over Ichabod Crane with a 56-6 victory.
