LOCALS HELPING LOCALS WITH COMMUNITY CLOTHING SWAP

ALBANY — On Saturday, November 16, 2019 — Noteworthy Resources of Albany, Inc. will host a FREE Community Clothing Swap for individuals and families in need in the Capital District at the Addictions Care Center of Albany’s Community Education Building on 90 McCarty Ave, Albany. Doors open at 11 a.m., donations are only accepted between 11:00am and 3 p.m.

Noteworthy Resources hosts this free community event each season giving individuals and families’ in need with donations of gently used coats, hats, gloves, clothing, and boots for all ages This event gives our community an opportunity to take what they need and a chance to network and empower each other by acts of kindness and coming together as one community! This is a “take what you need” event where anyone in the community can drop in and donate and/or take what they can use. Everything is left at 3:00pm will be donated to a variety of local charities, shelters, schools nurse’s offices, and nonprofit organizations in the Capital District!

Noteworthy Resources is a local woman owned and operated 501(c)3 nonprofit community resource service where we create a space in time for individuals in the Capital District can come together freely to receive resources they need to cultivate their evolving aptitude. Noteworthy Resources strives to educate, connect, and empower the community through meet-ups, workshops and empowerment advocacy programs.

The event is chaired by Noteworthy Resources’ CEO, Tatiana Gjergji, who is a first generation American- Albanian woman from Catskill, NY. Gjergji is a prevention educator at the Addictions Care Center of Albany, Inc. (ACCA) teaching Albany City school students the importance of self-esteem and how drugs and alcohol effect youth’s minds and bodies.
