PRATTSVILLE — Had a very informative and pleasant conversation with Miranda Cross, great-granddaughter of Stella and Val Cross, and no stranger to Prattsville.

Miranda and fiancé Forrest Koerner-Fox, originally from the Cairo area, live in Stamford. Miranda is employed by Wayne Bank, Stamford, and Forrest is employed by the railroad, not sure of the exact name.

He does quite a bit of traveling, assuming by train. Miranda and Forrest are making plans for their September 2020 wedding.

Miranda’s parents, Michael and Krista, and younger sister Brianna live in Stamford but Brianna attends Roxbury CS and excels in athletics. As grandma Stella would say, “She is a toughie.” Roxbury’s girls’ soccer team had a perfect regular season standing and also in their tournaments. They now go to sectionals.

Brother Nicholas is now at Marine boot camp in Parris Island. We wish him all the best and thank him for his service.

Belated happy anniversary to Bob and Carrie Hermance of Lexington on Oct. 8. They celebrated their day, their third anniversary, with a trip to Myrtle Beach.

Peter Tocci was on a business trip to Saratoga and stopped in at the New York State Military Museum.

He got to see the veterans’ quilt featuring so many of our local veterans, including Peter, and sewn by local ladies. He said it is displayed in the room at the left of the entrance.

Our condolences to the family of Don Falke of Mosquito Point. Don was a well-known figure in our towns, took pride in being a volunteer fireman, and always had a smile for all. He will be missed.

Al and Anita Creazzo are beaming with pride. Son Steven has wrapped up his second movie, “Skipping Stones,” with our area as the location. Most of the shoots took place at Sunny Hill and the final scene was shot at Dave Rikard’s law office, but it was repurposed for the movie.

The whole project took two weeks. Steven and crew are welcome to return for more movies.

Talking of pride, Tony and Pat Bifolco have their granddaughter to brag about.

Adriana and mother Michelle Bifolco took part in a 5K race for Make a Wish Foundation called The Bubble Run.

Participants had to run through bubbles at various locations during the race. Hey, Adriana, thank you for your continued works for charities and for involving your mom.

Adriana is a junior member of our American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1327.

Everyone brings back souvenirs or something from their trips to other areas.

Roxy and Jim King made a recent trip to the Adirondacks to enjoy the fall foliage in the other New York state mountains.

Jim said the scenery was gorgeous and as a memento of their trip, Roxy came home with a cold. We would suggest she buy a mug or postcard or picture next time they make a trip.

Get well wishes to Mary Cline. It is Ron’s turn to play nurse at this family homestead.

Heard the AutumnFest in Windham was spectacular as ever.

Glad they had super weather for their annual event. May they have many more events like this. Think most of Prattsville’s residents attended. Always good to support our neighboring towns.

Happy birthday to McKenzie Constable, daughter of Michael and Connie Brainerd Constable, on Oct. 19. On Oct. 21, we wish Joanne Dunphy a Happy Birthday. We wish Ursula Jaeger, granddaughter of Diana and Arnold Jaeger, a happy birthday on Oct. 23. Joe Concato is wished a very happy birthday on Oct. 24.
