POUGHKEEPSIE — The “Oscars of the Hudson Valley” are back. For the 14th year, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with an honorable selection committee comprised of former honorees, have identified the anticipated group of the next generation of young professionals in the Hudson Valley, to be presented with Forty Under 40 Mover & Shaker Awards.

Bestowed annually to forty people under the age of 40, who have shown a strong commitment to the Hudson Valley, the Mover & Shaker Awards honor the next generation of leaders in our region. A selection committee comprised of former honorees judge nominations based on professional and community achievements. Scoring each nomination independently of each other and the Chamber, the scores are then tallied to determine the Top 40. Neither the Chamber staff, nor any sponsors or partners influence the judging in any way.

“These individuals go above and beyond their professional requirements, enhancing the region where we live and work. They truly represent the best and brightest in the Hudson Valley,” says Frank Castella, Jr., President and CEO of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Everyone at the Chamber sincerely congratulates the honorees. We anticipate great things from them in the future; I am excited to see how they shape our community in the years to come.”

Chosen from a pool of more than 100 nominations, the 2019 Forty Under 40 honorees encompass professions ranging from fitness trainers, investors, teachers, bankers, doctors, engineers, teachers, veterans, and more.
