Sheriff: Dutchess County shooting suspect arrested in Catskill
TIVOLI — A man was arrested in the town of Catskill on Wednesday following a shooting in Tivoli on Tuesday night, according to police.
The man’s name has not yet been released by police.
Police responded Tuesday night around 8:35 p.m. to a reported shooting on Clay Hill Road in the village of Tivoli in Dutchess County.
An alert went out to police agencies in Columbia and Greene counties to be on the lookout for a suspect in the shooting, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said.
The suspect was described in police scanner reports as a black male between the ages of 17 and 22.
The man taken into custody on Vedder Mountain Road by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office was turned over to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, according to Greene County Undersheriff Adam Brainard.
