USS SLATER open for Veterans’ Day

ALBANY — USS SLATER Veterans Day Hours Monday, November 11, 2019, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The USS SLATER Veterans Day observance will be held Monday, November 11 at 9 a.m. The public is invited to attend.

The ship will be open to the public for guided tours following the observance until 4 p.m. Admission is charged. Visiting an historic warship is a wonderful way to honor the veteran in your family. We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to visit USS SLATER, a National Historic Landmark and the only Destroyer Escort afloat in America.

USS SLATER will remain open through December 1st this year. The ship will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Regular public hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. After Thanksgiving Weekend, the ship will close for the winter, reopening in spring 2020.

USS SLATER is located on the Hudson River in Downtown Albany just south of the Dunn Memorial Bridge. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children.
