BETHLEHEM — A Greenville man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing burglary investigation in Delmar.

Jamie Velez, 54, of Greenville, was arrested Nov. 5, following a multi-agency effort, according to a statement from Bethlehem police.

The investigation, launched in August, led to Velez’s arrest.

“As a result of this investigation, Velez was developed as a suspect,” according to the police statement. “Pursuant to the execution of search warrants and a multi-agency effort, Velez was charged in regard to his role in the August 2018 burglary of Adriano’s Pizza on Delaware Avenue in Delmar.”

Velez was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail, due to multiple prior felony convictions. The case was transferred to Albany County Court.

Bethlehem Police worked on the investigation in cooperation with the Albany Police Department, Albany County Sheriff’s Department, and the North Greenbush Police Department.
