CRARYVILLE — Senior Jesse Davies achieved a milestone on Thursday by recording his 100th career victory in Catskill’s 68-15 win over Taconic Hills in Patroon Conference wrestling action.

Davies won by technical fall over the Titans’ Zachary Wessel, 17-2, in the 145-pound division.

“Jesse is a team captain and is the epitome of the Catskill Wrestling Team motto “ Gentlemen, Scholars, and Athletes,” Catskill coach Dick Mandigo said. “Jesse is a dedicated and successful student and athlete. He is a true leader by word and example.”

Wrestling has been a famil affair for the Davies. Jesse’s brother Caleb, a student at SUNY Albany, was a very successful wrestler. Sisters Katia, Meghan and Sarah have been the scorekeepers and statisticians for over a ten year span. Coach Mandigo says that his scorekeepers are the most important members of the team.
