COLONIE — Coxsackie-Athens junior captain Logan Campbell won the 113-pound championship at the Shaker King Bison Wrestling Tournament on Saturday.

Cambell went 5-0 in the tournament, defeating Luke Yorke of Cobleskill-Richmondville by pin (:51), Vincenzo Federici of Shaker by pin (:57), Kaden Potter of Ravena by pin (1:42), Tyler Murphy of Schalmont by pin (1:50) and Kyle Griskowitz of Saratoga Springs by pin (1:25).

Coxsackie-Athens finished 14th in the team standings with 26 points. Shaker was first with 207.5 points and Mohonasen took second with 178.5.

KOSSMAN DUALS

Maple Hill took first place at the Dominick Kossman Duals at Duanseburg High School on Saturday, going 5-0 at the event.

The Wildcats posted wins over Duanesburg, 46-33; Salem-Cambridge, 48-36; Ravena, 60-21; Bethlehem, 60-25; and Scotia, 72-9.

Caleb Svingala remained unbeaten and unscored upon this season, improving to 33-0. He now has 199 career victories.

GIRLS BASKETBALLCOLONIAL

Holy Names 58, Ichabod Crane 41

VALATIE — Grace Field scored 24 points to spark Holy Names to a 58-41 Colonial Council girls basketball victory over Ichabod Crane on Monday.

Mia Farley had 10 points for Holy Names, which built quarterly leads of 15-7, 30-19 and 48-26.

Madie Graham knocked down six three-pointers and finished with 18 points for Ichabod Crane. Ashley Ames chipped in with eight points.

HOLY NAMES (58): Farley 4-0-10, Field 11-2-24, S. Paul 2-0-4, Reyes 2-2-6, Taylor 1-0-2, Ladapoulos 1-0-3, C. Paul 3-1-7, Seymour 1-0-2. Totals 25-5-58.

VOLLEYBALLPATROON

Ichabod Crane 3, Germantown 0

VALATIE — Ichabod Crane won its 10th match without a loss, handing Germantown a 3-0 setback in Monday’s Patroon Conference boys volleyball match.

The Riders won by scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-9.

For Ichabod Crane, Harrison Puckett had 10 assists, 7 kills and 4 aces; Dean Warner 7 kills, 1 ace and 1 dig; Jim Konderwich 6 kills and 3 blocks, Trevor Wolfe 7 assists, 2 kills and 1 ace; Paul Zietsman 4 assists and 3 aces; Jake Siter 2 kills; Logan Groat 2 kills; Cam Ames 1 kill; Carson Weaver 1 kill; Jared Cook 5 digs and 3 aces.

The Riders play at Chatham on Wednesday.

Coxsackie-Athens 3, Catskill 0

COXSACKIE — Coxsackie-Athens earned a 3-0 victory over Catskill in Monday’s Patroon Conference boys volleyball match.

The Indians (10-1) posted winning scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-19.

BOWLINGPATROON

Chatham 5, Cairo-Durham 0

CHATHAM — Chatham defeated Cairo-Durham, 5-0, in Monday’s Patroon Conference bowling match.

LJ Morse fired a 245-646 to lead the Panthers. Tyler Beaudry added a 233-588.

Phil Decker’s 259-663 topped the Mustangs. Steven Maggio had a 190-429.

SWIMMING

NEW LEBANON — The Taconic Hills boys and girls swim teams posted victories over New Lebanon/Berlin on Monday.

The Titans won the boys meet, 45-33, while girls earned a 42-39 victory.

Neil Howard and Chris Russell were both a part of three wins for the TH boys. Howard won the 200 free (2:57.18) and 100 back (1:19.97) while helping the Titans’ 400 medley relay team to a first place finish (4:29.34).

Dylan Foutch won the 100 free (1:03.71) and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay team (2:13.12), along with Russell, Eli Russo and Aaron Bonci.

Russell took first in the 100 breaststroke (1:27.63) and helped the Titans’ 200 medley and 400 medley relay teams to victory. Bonci and Josh Sena were also part of the winning 400 medley relay team.

In the girls meet, Emma Avenia won the 200 free (2:16.06), the 500 free (6:25.17) and helped the Titans’ 200 free relay team take first in 2:02.87.

Lauren Madsen won the 100 free ((1:05.31) and was part of the winning 200 free relay team and Maya Manan-Singh finished first in the 50 free (:31.04) and was also a part of the winning 200 free relay team, along with Avenia, Madsen and Lily Russo.
