LOCAL ROUNDUP: Ames drops 23 as Riders roll

TROY — Ashley Ames drained five three-pointers and finished with 23 points to lead Ichabod Crane to a 55-35 victory over Emma Willard in Wednesday’s non-league girls basketball game.

The Riders built a 16-11 after one quarter and stretched it to 25-17 at halftime and 42-29 after three quarters.

Madie Graham followed Ames in scoring for the Riders with 11 points.

Emma Shields’ 23 points led Emma Willard.

Chatham 49, Taconic Hills 31

CHATHAM — Hannah Taylor and Paige Eaton combined for 31 points to spark Chatham to a 49-31 Patroon Conference girls basketball victory over Taconic Hills on Wednesday.

Taylor scored 17 points and Eaton had 14 for the Panthers, who overcame a 7-6 first-quarter deficit to post quarterly leads of 24-14 and 31-24.

Marleah Perry had four three-pointers and finished with 14 points for Taconic Hills.

Greenville 49, Albany Leadership 37

GREENVILLE — Greenville limited Albany Leadership to just nine first-half points en route to a a 49-37 victory in Wednesday’s Patroon Conference girls basketball game.

The Spartans led 11-6 after one quarter, 21-9 at halftime and 36-24 through three quarters.

Bella Trostle led Greenville with 16 points. Lauren Rauf chipped in with 12.

Jamira Galloway’s 20 points set the pace for Albany Leadership.

Ravena 45, Catskill 44

CATSKILL — Ravena held off a late Catskill rally to post a 45-44 non-league girls basketball victory over the Cats on Wednesday.

The Indians led 12-4, 20-16 and 39-28 at the end of the first three quarters, then withstood a 16-6 run by the Cats in the final stanza to escape with the victory.

Hannah Vanderzee had 12 points and Grace Engel added 11 for Ravena.

Janay Brantley scored 17 points for Catskill. Hannah Konsul and Kiana Salierno each had 10.

RAVENA (45): DeLuca 1-0-2, Engel 4-2-11, Reville 3-0-6, Sanderson 3-2-8, VanDerzee 6-0-12, Waddingham 3-0-6. Totals 20-4-45.
