CLC offering new kid-centric programs

February 26, 2020 11:35 am

CHATHAM — The Columbia Land Conservancy announces a new monthly program, Little Explorers, for children 2-6. Little Explorers is a program held at one of CLC’s Public Conservation Areas each month. The group will meet up, read a story relevant to that month’s theme, and go explore. Expect to look for wildlife, examine plants, and talk about what we learned in the story.

The March Little Explorers program will take place 10 a.m.-noon March 6 at Ooms Conservation Area, 480 Rock City Road, Chatham. The theme is Animal Tracks and Traces. Other spring themes include Woodland Pools (April), Nests and Dens (May), and Clouds and the Weather (June).

Older siblings are welcome to attend. Parents or caregivers are required to stay for the duration of the program, and pre-registration is required because the program’s maximum capacity is 15 children.

Bring weather-appropriate, layered clothing (including hat, gloves, and/or rain gear), sturdy shoes or boots, and a snack and drink. Attendees should wear clothes and shoes appropriate for the weather. To learn more about Little Explorers, visit clctrust.org.
