CATSKILL — Catskill moved a game closer to a perfect season in Patroon Conference boys basketball with a 77-56 victory over Rensselaer on Saturday afternoon.

The Cats are now 15-0 in the Patroon and can finish unbeaten in league play with a victory at Coxsackie-Athens on Tuesday. The Cats are 17-1 overall and currently ranked sixth in the state in Class B.

The Cats led 21-15 after one quarter and 39-31 at halftime. The Rams got to within 46-42 late in the third quarter, but Catskill finished the stanza on an 11-5 run to take a 57-47 advantage into the final eight minutes.
