LOCAL ROUNDUP: Chatham earns first Patroon victory
EAST DURHAM — Chatham broke into the win column on Monday with a 57-42 Patroon Conference boys basketball victory over Cairo-Durham.
Jayshawn Williams was Chatham’s top scorer with 13 points. Tobias Jeralds added 11 and Mateo Talbott and Zach Gregg each had 10.
Ethan Phillips paced Cairo-Durham with 12 points. Dylan Morgan had 10.
Chatham hosts Rensselaer and Cairo-Durham entertains Coxsackie-Athens on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Bishop Gibbons 76, Taconic Hills 41
CRARYVILLE — Bishop Gibbons jumped out to a 26-point lead after one quarter and coasted to a 76-41 non-league boys basketball victory over Taconic Hills on Monday.
The Knights opened up a 34-8 advantage in the oepning eight minutes and extended it to 50-16 at halftime.
Rodney Parker’s 17 points topped Bishop Gibbons. Noah Foster had 14 and Adi Quinones nine.
Kobe Van Alstyne scored 11 points for the Titans. Ryan Nowak chipped in with eight.
Taconic Hills hosts Catskill on Wednesday and visits Maple Hill on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
