Sixteen vendors and lots of happy shoppers at the Holiday Market held in the Community Hall in West Kill on Dec. 8.

Mary and Steve Palazzolo enjoyed an evening out with their friends MaryAnn Cariello and Joe Shattuck on Dec. 6. First they had a lovely dinner and then went to The Egg Performing Arts Center at the Empire State Plaza, Albany for the John Pizzarelli Trio performance.

Dec. 7 was the annual tree lighting in West Kill. The new tree by the flagpole looks very festive. A delicious covered dish supper followed at the community hall in West Kill.

Wonderful turnout for the Holiday Market at the Community Hall in West Kill on Dec. 8. The hall was filled with vendors with a great selection of handcrafted items, maple products, honey and so much more. The Lexington Historical Society provided delicious soups with rolls, and baked goods.

Rick Dearstyne has a birthday on Dec. 13. Dec. 14 is Rocco D’Addario’s 2nd birthday. Happy 46th wedding anniversary to Pam and Jim Tilp on Dec. 16. Mickie Winters celebrates her birthday on Dec. 17. Happy 12th birthday to Akeylah Pushman on Dec. 18. Best wishes to all.

Greene County Senior Nutrition Program menu for the week of Dec. 16-Dec. 20 is as follows: Monday—Macaroni and cheese, three-bean salad, stewed tomatoes, fruit cocktail; Tuesday—Taco bake, Spanish rice, corn, Lima beans and carrot mix, pears; Wednesday—Center Christmas Luncheon—Beef pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, spinach puff, apple pie; Thursday—Chicken Cacciatore, linguini, Italian mixed vegetables, Tiramisu; Friday—Pulled pork, beans and rice, green beans, coleslaw with carrots, fresh fruit. All persons over 60 and spouses are invited to attend. Meals served at noon for a suggested donation of $4 per meal. Please call at least a day in advance to reserve your meal. Mountain Top Senior Service Center is located in the Jewett Municipal Building, Route 23C, 518-263-4392.

The Greene Room Players Songbirds, directed by Linda Nicholls, will present “Christmas Songs” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Center Church Civic Center in Windham, free will offering.

The Annual Charge Conference for the Lexington/West Kill UMC will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Lexington church hall with the District Superintendent Rev. Dr. Karen Monk.

There are no Mountain Top Ecumenical meetings in the months of January, February and March.

Just a reminder when you are cleaning the snow off your car, please clean the roof too. That comes flying off while you are driving and is very dangerous.
