Paul J. Masten

Paul J. Masten, 76, of Hudson Falls, NY and formerly of Columbiaville and Hudson, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born November 24, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alida (Hebberd) Masten. Paul was a US Army and US Naval Reserves Veteran. He owned the former Masten Construction in Hudson and was a life member and past president of the Stockport Fire Company, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the Zion Episcopal Church in Hudson Falls.

He is survived by his wife: Jeanne (Ferguson) Masten, 6 children, Vicki Munholand of Johnstown NY, Paul J. Masten Jr. (Sherri) of Saugerties NY, Hank Masten of Poughkeepsie NY, Roxanne House of Johnstown NY, Allen Masten (Tasha) of Hillsdale NY and Michael Masten (Richelle) of Craryville NY. 3 stepchildren; Michelle St. Dennis of Hudson Falls NY, Bill St. Dennis and Leigh Harten (Charlie) both of Glen Falls NY and Marc Austin, a brother Frank Masten of Kinderhook NY, a sister Dorothy Jacobs of Schenectady and 35 grand and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Joseph Masten and siblings Claire Scheriff, Arthur and Raymond Masten.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, 1-3pm at the Stockport Firehouse. For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Stockport Fire Company, P.O. Box 158, Columbiaville NY 12050. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
