Power restored to thousands in Columbia County
The power was out for thousands of customers in Columbia County early Tuesday afternoon, and was restored after about a half hour, according to National Grid spokesman Patrick Stella.
Power was knocked out at around 1 p.m. after a tree fell on a power line, cutting services to roughly 2,000 customers in Hudson, Greenport, Germantown and Livingston, Stella said.
“We had a tree down on Fairview Avenue,” Stella said. “We have crews there and have removed the tree.”
Utilities were restored at around 1:30 p.m.
