TIVOLI — The Village of Tivoli, along with the Tivoli Free Library, Historic Red Hook and Tivoli Merchants + Artists announce their 2019 Tivoli Winterfest Celebration, to be held Saturday, December 7, 2019, with additional participation from The Tivoli Fire Department and support from Hotel Tivoli, who is helping to lead the charge of a day filled with holiday festivities and community spirit.

The day begins with kids crafts at the Village Hall (86 Broadway) 1pm-3pm; Santa will visit after his tour of the village, thanks to the Tivoli Fire Department’s truck transport; more follows with a live theatrical performance at 3:15pm, where the Theatre on the Road troupe presents Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol at Murray’s Sanctuary (73 Broadway), followed by caroling with the St. Paul’s Choir and official tree lighting at 5pm at the Village Hall grounds, complete with horse drawn wagon rides, and finally wrapping up with business open houses throughout the village, where shops, restaurants and arts destinations will welcome visitors - a chance to meet and greet business owners and artists, share in refreshments and conversation.

The day is a coming together of modern day celebration, history and tradition, performance and art, and community. Participants in the open house festivities include Tivoli Artists Gallery, Tivoli Mercantile,

Tivoli General, Winn’s – a new stylish boutique that will host live music, Tangent Theatre Company – who will have artists on hand to mix and mingle, The Corner Store @ Hotel Tivoli and more. Traghaven Whiskey Pub, Rojo Tapas & Wine and Santa Fe restaurant will be part of the evening’s cozy choices.

“This a wonderful time of year in Tivoli, tree lights are magical and the village is fun to explore, with an easy stroll of just a few blocks,” says Hotel Tivoli general manager Janett Pabon. “We love the idea of welcoming the community and visitors to the villages. It’s the perfect time to experience the diverse culture and personality Tivoli is known for,” adds Village Deputy Mayor Emily Majer.
