The Zonta Club of Upper Hudson Valley’s co-president Betty Sundstrom recently installed three new members. From left are Layne Volkmann, of Stuyvesant, a self-employed independent contractor; Sylvia Kelly, of Kinderhook, a teacher retired from Taconic Hills; and Celeste Alexander, of Ghent, an opera title writer for The Metropolitan Opera as well as an opera pianist and vocal coach. Each new member brings interesting and needed skills to advance the mission of Zonta International, which is to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy.
