Ghent man to be sentenced for DWAI
HUDSON — A Ghent man was convicted of driving while impaired by drugs in Columbia County Court on March 8, according to a news release from the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office.
Felix Cruz, 38, pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired by drugs.
He has a sentencing scheduled for May 3. Driving while ability impaired is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense, according to state Penal Law.
Columbia County Court Judge Jonathan Nichols presided over the case. Attorney James Kleinbaum represents Cruz.
Deputy David Stevens with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case and arrested Cruz.
