Sheriff investigating incident at flour mill

HUDSON — The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office confirms an investigation is being conducted following an incident at ADM Milling Co. on Route 23B in Greenport.

Columbia County 911 dispatched Greenport Fire and Rescue to the scene around 10 a.m. for a report of a sick person in an elevator, according to scanner reports, but gave no further details.

Special equipment has been brought in by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. The scene is currently closed to visitors.
